Montego Bay Part 1 - Arriving In Jamaica

Before starting here is a description of an actual tour offered by a local tour operator:

This is a Montego Bay excursion horseback riding at Dunns River Falls and its nearby beach. The tour

starts with a ride down a country trail through a well known 1600's sugar plantation. The trail leads out to

the Caribbean for a ride and swim. Dunn's River Falls itself is a wonder. Its one of the only water falls in

the world that empties directly into the sea. You can climb 1000 ft up the falls easily because of naturally

formed steps. Lagoons form at various levels on the way up where you can relax and cool off. I may

provide a link here to a full page description and itinerary for this tour in the near future. I'll provide a link to a

In this first part of the Virtual Montego Bay Tour we find ourselves heading

into Jamaica after leaving Grand Cayman 225 miles west. Negril and the whole

western and southern shorelines of the island can be seen as we intersect

the northern shore-line at Luce Point. We make a slight turn at Sandy Bay

for a heading towards the Montego Bay Resorts and Airport . . . more.

Montego Bay Part 2 - Landing At Montego Bay

Before starting the 2nd of the Virtual Jamaica tours here's another real experience:

An off-road ATV excursion that begins with a safety briefing and practice. You then move on to ride through

Sandy Bay from Blue Hole Estate to the farm communities of Cascade and Smithfield. You'll reach elevations as

high as 2200 ft and have many photo opportunities. I'll provide a link to a full page description and itinerary

of this and other Jamaica tours soon.

In this second part of the Virtual Montego Bay Tour we have just flown past

some farm towns like Smithfield and Cascade and Jamaica resorts like

Grand Palladium in Lucea and Tyrall Club in Sandy Bay and are about to

fly over Round Hill Hotel & Villas in Hopewell. As we line up to land we get

views of the Montego Bay Resorts to the right (south) such as . . . more.
